Roy McGrath,a former aide to Governor Larry Hogan is facing an additional federal charge of falsifying records. A superseding indictment was announced earlier this week in connection to the case against McGrath, which alleges he collected excessive expenses and arranged for what is being termed an “unprecedented severance payment, in the amount of $233,647. McGrath had been Governor Hogan’s Chief of Staff in 2020, and served as director of the Maryland Environmental Service, a position appointed by Hogan, starting in late 2016.
