The Allegany County Health Department has announced COVID-19 vaccinations will be given on Wednesdays at the office on Willowbrook Road, effective this week. There will no longer be COVID-19 vaccination clinics at the Allegany County Fairgrounds, free drive-thru testing will continue on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. As of last Thursday, there were 76 new COVID cases and zero additional deaths. The Community Level has been termed “low,” as cases per 100,000 and the local positivity rate is below that of the state of Maryland.
