TWO ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

Lawrenceville, Georgia resident Gary Garfield Layne and Rasheen Nathan Henry of Brooklyn, New York were arrested during a traffic stop on Saturday, and now face drug charges. The stop was made on Interstate 68 Westbound, near the 39-mile marker. Probable cause led to the search of the vehicle, with Allegany County Sheriff’s deputies locating a large quantity of suspected crack cocaine, methylenedioxymethamphetamine, and marijuana. Approximately $4,715 in cash was recovered, which was believed to have come from the sale of controlled dangerous substances. Both were taken to the Allegany County Detention Center, ahead of an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
