A proposal to seize illegal dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles in Pennsylvania has moved a step closer to becoming law after the state House approved the measure last Friday. Senate Bill 1183 has incited strong debate on both sides of the issue. Opponents say it’s an example of government overreach. Supporters say it will more strongly discourage reckless driving that endangers pedestrians and motorists. Since it was previously amended in the House, the bill returns to the Senate for a vote on concurrence. If concurred, the measure would go to Governor Tom Wolf for his signature.
