ALLEGANY COUNTY COVID-19 COMMUNITY LEVEL TERMED “LOW”

The Allegany County COVID-19 Community Level has been categorized as “low” by the Centers for Disease Control. As of last week, there have been 101 new COVID cases with no additional deaths. The positivity rate, however, is above that of the state at 11.84 per cent; Maryland’s rate is 9.58 per cent. The Allegany County Health Department continues vaccination clinics on Wednesdays at its Willowbrook Road offices. Free drive-through testing is also continuing at the Allegany County Fairgrounds on Mondays from 2 to 7p.m., and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
