Maryland Representative Andy Harris was among the Congressional Republicans at a December 2020 meeting to discuss overturning the presidential election results. That information was revealed Tuesday during testimony before the January 6 committee. In a statement Harris says he did not watch the hearing, saying he was busy working on important issues like bringing down the price of gas and groceries and securing our communities against violent crime. Harris was one of 147 lawmakers who opposed the certification of Joe Biden’s win on January 6. Democrat Heather Mizeur, who is running to replace Harris in Congress issued a statement saying he is a traitor to the nation, adding he has betrayed his oath and is unfit to serve.
