STATE POLICE SUPERINTENDENT RESPONDS TO D.O.J. INVESTIGATION

The Superintendent of Maryland State Police has issued a statement after learning that the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating allegations of racial discrimination. Colonel Woodrow Jones says he’s been committed to addressing diversity and inclusiveness throughout his tenure and the work continues with the Coalition of Black Maryland State Troopers, the Legislative Black Caucus and other stakeholders.  Colonel Jones says significant actions have been taken to address even the perception of racism or unfair treatment of any kind.  Jones says State Police will cooperate fully with the investigation and will assist investigators in any way possible.
