TROOPERS RESCUE THREE FROM BURNING HOME

Two Maryland State Police troopers are being credited with saving three people from a burning home in the 1000-block of National Highway Friday morning. Senior Trooper Ersel Wilson and TFC. Hunter McCue were on patrol, when Wilson noticed smoke coming from the home. The two forced entry into the home, awakened the occupants, and escorted them from the home. Damages totaled $100,000. The fire was determined to be accidental, and caused by discarded smoking materials. The structure was located at 1067 National Highway. The owner of the building was Nancy Salmon, although the occupants of the home weren’t immediately identified.
