Fewer people are seeking unemployment benefits in Maryland. The U.S. Labor Department reports about 23-hundred Marylanders filed initial jobless claims last week. That’s 170 fewer than the previous week. Nationally, applications for unemployment insurance rose to the highest level since last November, to 251,000.
