Water service will be shut down in parts of the Decatur Heights are of the city this week, so the contractor can connect the existing service mains to the new water main. Glenn Street will have service interrupted today; Fulton Street will be affected both today and tomorrow. Charles Street is expected to be affected on Tuesday and Wednesday; and, Davidson Street, on Wednesday and Thursday. Residents on Decatur Street itself are not expected to lose water service. It is expected that service will be restored in the affected areas by 5 p.m. each day. Residents should avoid the area, and traffic control devices will be in place to detour vehicles around the area.
