The city’s participation in the National Night Out takes place next Tuesday in the Somerville Avenue area, between First and Fourth Streets. The annual Kick Off event will be held Monday evening at the Constitution Park, with a free swim, starting at 6 p.m. and a free movie, beginning at dusk. National Night Out is a community building campaign, promoting strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, more caring places to live and work.
