PA. SUPPORTS PROGRAM TO HELP FARMER’S MENTAL HEALTH

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture says free training and a hotline are now available to help farming people who are struggling with mental health issues.  Emmaus farmer Kegan Hilaire says  the ‘July Blues’  times are happening right now. He says that’s when stress levels rise because harvesting, planning and fall prep are taking place at  the same time.  People can call a new state hotline for help to talk with someone who’s skilled in mental health training and who has experience in farming.
