COVID CASES INCREASING IN ALLEGANY COUNTY

The Cumberland Times-News is reporting COVID-19 case rates have increased in Allegany County. Statewide, the rate is quoted at 9.97 per cent, but it’s 17.33 per cent in Allegany County, and 17.72 in Garrett County. Locally, 56.3 per cent of Allegany County residents and 51.7 per cent of Garrett Countians are vaccinated.  Across the state there were 1,975 new COVID cases, 11 additional deaths and nine more hospitalizations, as of yesterday morning.
