FROSTBURG REQUESTING ARPA FUNDS FOR NEW LADDER TRUCK

The Frostburg Volunteer Fire Department is asking for three-quarters of a million dollars in American Rescue Plan funding, to go toward the purchase of a new ladder truck. During a recent work session, Frostburg City officials indicated they would be willing to give the department some money, but they want an independent audit to be done first. Frostburg’s VFD recently received $500,000 from the city’s capital budget for various projects, including the acquisition of a ladder truck.
