MARYLANLD JOBLESS CLAIMS FALL

Fewer Marylanders are filing for unemployment benefits.  Figures from the U.S. Labor Department show more than 16-hundred first-time jobless claims were filed in the week ending last Saturday.  That’s down from the revised count of about 19-hundred the previous week.  In DC, claims remained flat at about 300.  Claims fell by over 400 in Virginia.
