STATE HEALTH OFFICIALS TO OFFER FREE POTASSIUM IODIDE TABLETS TO RESIDENTS ON SEPTEMBER 15TH

Pennsylvania health officials are offering free potassium iodide tablets later this month to residents who live within 10 miles of any of the state’s four active nuclear power plants.  Potassium tablets reportedly help protect the body’s thyroid gland against radioactive iodine that may be present following a radiation release.  The tablets will be available free on September 15th.  For more information, log on to wwwhealthpacom.
