MEALS NO LONGER FREE IN PA. BEGINNING WITH THIS SCHOOL YEAR

Many parents who haven’t had to pay for school lunches for two years could be in for a surprise.  A federal waiver has expired that granted free breakfast and lunch for all students in all districts regardless of family income.  It started during the pandemic.  Many families might still be eligible for reduced or free meals but they now have to submit an application for the 2022-23 year, which hasn’t been the case the last two years.
