MOSBY ANTICIPATES CASE GOING TO TRIAL

Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby is anticipating her case will go to trial.  Mosby appeared in U.S. District Court yesterday for the first of two pre-trial hearings and her lead defense attorney said that Mosby will not take a plea deal, adding “We’re going to trial.”  During the hearing, a judge ruled prosecutors will not be able to mention previous investigations into Mosby during the trial, saying they would be “very prejudicial.”  Mosby is charged with perjury and making false statements on mortgage applications in the purchase of two Florida vacation homes.  The trial is set to begin September 19th.
