LAWMAKER WANTS STATE OWNED FACILLITIES TO PAY STORMWATER FEES

State Senator John DiSanto will introduce legislation that would require state-owned facilities to pay stormwater fees in the municipalities that charge them.  The Republican lawmaker, who represents parts of Dauphin and Perry counties, says the fees can add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.  Local governments have been levying stormwater fees to pay for system upgrades that are required under environmental regulations, but many state agencies have refused to pay them.
