Pennsylvania state auditor general Timothy DeFoor says the Pennsylvania Turnpike has more debt than the entire state government. He released his findings Wednesday of an audit that shows the turnpike commission has more than 155-million-dollars in uncollected money. Although turnpike cameras read plates of vehicles without E-ZPass and send bills to their owners, there are problems with obscured readings, camera system failures and getting money from drivers who don’t want to pay.
