HOPKINS MEDICINE MAY DROP CAREFIRST AMID CONTRACT TALKS

Maryland residents who rely on CareFirst as their insurance providers and Hopkins Medicine for their care may be in store for some big changes in their coverage.  Ongoing contract talks may result in more than 300-thousand Maryland residents being kicked out of their network.  Patients have received notice from CareFirst that Hopkins is dropping CareFirst as soon as December fifth if there’s no agreement reached on a new contract by then.  Those patients would have to find a new doctor who’s in-network if this happens.
