Eight-year-old Angelin Reyes Sanchez was killed, and six others were injured in a two vehicle crash early Friday morning on Interstate 68 Eastbound, near the M.V. Smith Road in Flintstone. She was a passenger in a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, when the driver lost control and was struck by a tractor-trailer. Two of the passengers, including the child, were ejected from the vehicle. The driver and other passengers were taken to UPMC-Western Maryland for treatment. All were from Bloomington, Illinois. The road was closed for about five hours following the crash. The Maryland State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
