Johns Hopkins University has released a draft of its Memorandum of Understanding with the Baltimore Police Department as plans for a campus police force move forward. The memorandum covers the JHU police boundaries and clarifies its relationship with the BPD and the types of cases that will be handled by city police. In addition, the memorandum outlines the use of body-worn cameras, police reports, compliance with the city’s Consent Decree and the hiring of officers. Three town hall meetings will take place this month with the first on Thursday evening.
