UNION RESCUE MISSION MAY RELOCATE TO NORTH CENTER STREET

The Union Rescue Mission may be relocating to a property at 710 North Center Street, and several residents shared concerns at last night’s Cumberland Mayor and City Council meeting. The mission may possibly occupy the building which now houses High Point Furniture. Pastor David Ziler, director of the Mission, says an offer has been made on the building, which would nearly triple the space they now occupy on Queen City Pavement. Nothing is final, and he and the owner of the building continue to negotiate. However, several residents came to the meeting to express concerns about the move to Cumberland’s North End.
