In what is expected to last only a few hours, water will be turned off in sections of Bowling Green today. The areas affected will be in the Jade Street, Daisy Street, Dahlia Street, Flower Street, Eagle Avenue and Crocus Street neighborhood. Once the tie-ins are completed, personnel from the Allegany County Utilities Division will be flushing the system; the division is advising homeowners to not do any laundry for at least 24 hours, due to possible water discoloration.
