The LaVale Library will reopen this weekend, following a two-year renovation and expansion project. A ribbon-cutting is set for Friday at 5 p.m., which will include welcoming remarks from a number of state and local officials. Following that, tours will be given. The library will open for business at 10 a.m. Saturday. The building now features two large meeting rooms that convert to one large conference space, two group study rooms, a community living room and a garden patio that can double as an open-air classroom and events space. Library hours will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
