U.S. TASK FORCE RECOMMENDS SCREENING ADULTS FOR ANXIETY

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force is recommending that all adults under the age of 65 be screened for anxiety.  Made up of medical experts whose recommendations help guide doctors’ decisions, the panel found that doing so can help identify anxiety early.  It’s pushing for screenings as part of routine doctor visits, with an emphasis on those who are pregnant and postpartum.  The drafted proposals will now be open for public comment through mid-October.
