Mail-in ballots may now be counted ahead of Election Day here in Maryland. That’s the ruling from a circuit court judge in Montgomery County. It comes after election officials submitted a request to start counting the ballots on October 1st. Ahead of the decision, Maryland was the only state that waited to count absentee and mail-in ballots after Election Day.
