Twenty-one-year-old Abdul Lateef S. Sorrell faces a list of gun and drug charges, following his arrest late yesterday morning on Interstate 68 Westbound, near the 42-mile marker. Allegany County Sheriff’s deputies developed probable cause to search his vehicle, which yielded about 10 pounds of methamphetamine and approximately 102 grams of suspected fentanyl. A loaded gun was also found in the center console of the vehicle. Sorrell’s driver’s license had also been suspended. He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await an initial appearance.
