Starting October 1st, the state is increasing the income threshold for applicants to 200-percent of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. Next month, more than 420-thousand additional residents of the state will be eligible for SNAP. The average amount of money toward groceries per household amounts to about 63-dollars a month.
