SNAP BENEFITS EXPANDING TO HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS IN PA.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits are expanding for Pennsylvanians.  Starting October 1st, the state is increasing the income threshold for applicants to 200-percent of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines.  Next month, more than 420-thousand additional residents of the state will be eligible for SNAP.  The average amount of money toward groceries per household amounts to about 63-dollars a month.
