The defense for Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby says it should not be sanctioned for information it used to oppose a gag order. Late last month a federal judge directed A. Scott Bolden to refile his response without using confidential information about potential jurors. Bolden says a contempt of court finding is unwarranted because quoting from questionnaires would not interfere with a fair trial because of the pretrial publicity. Mosby faces perjury and mortgage fraud charges related to the purchase of two Florida vacation homes.
