BURNHAM TO STAND TRIAL

He has now been found competent, and Cumberland resident Jeffrey Allen Burnham will stand trial for the murder of his mother’s friend, along with his half-brother and his wife last year. He had initially been found not competent, but hearings last week determined that has changed. Burnham is charged with the murder of 83-year-old Rebecca Reynolds, then traveled to Howard County and killed his half-brother, Brian Robinette and his wife, Kelly Sue. There will now be a series of court hearings in both jurisdictions. The local case is being prosecuted by the office of State’s Attorney James Elliott.
