Cumberland resident William Lee Wratchford had been held without bond, following an assault incident in the 400-block of Springdale Street. A caller reported a woman was being assaulted in the street; officers were later directed to a home, where they saw the victim again being assaulted. Wratchford was placed under arrest and received a District Court appearance before being taken to the Allegany County Detention Center.
