Maryland State Police are receiving more than 2-point-7-million-dollars from the feds to help curb the manufacture and distribution of drugs in the state. The money comes from the Community Oriented Policing Services Anti-Methamphetamine and Anti-Heroin programs. State Police will use the funds to investigate and shut down labs and distribution networks related to the sale of methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and carfentanil.
