ROARING SPRING WOMAN CHARGED WITH SHOOTING HUSBAND

Santana Laret of Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania is being charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, after she admitted shooting her husband in self-defense during an argument. Laret told police she and her husband had engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical, with her husband pushing her to the ground and strangling her. She said she had grabbed the gun out of a closet-while her husband was on top of her-and shot him. However, some of the forensic evidence did not match up and she was arrested. She had posted an unsecured $100,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for November 22nd.
