PREMIUMS REMAIN THE SAME FOR PEIA

The new five-year plan for the Public Employee Insurance Agency in West Virginia shows that employee premiums will remain the same through 2027.  However, the cost to the state will go up several million dollars over that span.  By 2027, the state is estimated to have to spend over 376-million dollars to cover the costs.  Next year alone, it is forecasted that the state will need to dip into the reserve fund for 31-million dollars.
