President Biden’s remarks last Friday evening about shutting down coal fired power plants are not sitting well. West virginia Senator Joe Manchin said the comments were “outrageous and divorced from reality.” The senator also said he had never heard talk like this from Biden previously. UMWA President Cecil Roberts said these comments reminded him of previous administrations and if it were to become a reality there would be thousands out of work.
