CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT WILL DECIDE CANNABIS ISSUE

Question #4 on the ballot will decide whether recreational marijuana will become law. If passed, it will allow Maryland residents to have no more than 1.5 ounces of cannabis for personal use, or equivalent amounts including no more than 2 cannabis plants, and the law would become effective July 1st of next year. The law applies to those 21 years or older. The law would also repeal criminal penalties associated with cannabis paraphernalia and create a cannabis Public Health Advisory Council.
