MC KAY ELECTED TO STATE SENATE; HINEBAUGH TO HOUSE OF DELEGATES

District 1-C Delegate Mike McKay was elected to the Maryland State Senate, by a resounding 3 to 1 margin. In unofficial results, McKay garnered over 74 per cent of the vote, while opponent Mike Dreisbach received 25 per cent. The margins were nearly the same in the District 1-A race, as Jim Hinebaugh received over 77 per cent of the vote; his closest challenger, Democrat Robert Spear earned just over 20 per cent of the votes cast. Taking McKay’s place in the House of Delegates will be Washington County resident Terry Baker, who received over 86 per cent of the votes in the General Election.
