The McMullen Building restoration project has been awarded $800,000 in grants and tax credits which should help complete work on the project, according to the Cumberland Times-News. The former location of G.C. Murphy building will eventually house 14 luxury apartments and six business spaces. Businessmen Chris Hendershot and Garrett Eagan had purchased the property two years ago. Since then, the Governor’s office has awarded over $464,000 to the project, in tax credits. Also planned for the building is a restaurant on the ground level. The project is expected to cost between $3 million and $4 million when completed.
