Maryland’s newest state park is officially open to the public. Located in Allegany County, Sideling Hill Creek State Park sits on 865-acres. Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford and other state officials were on-site for the opening earlier this week. The property was sold to the state back in 1991 after previously serving as a Boy Scout camp and a 19th century private retreat.
