A trial date of May, 2023 has been set for Somerset County inmate Paul Kendrick, who is accused of attacking and killing Correctional Officer Mark Baserman in February of 2018. The incident occurred inside SCI-Somerset. Kendrick is accused of repeatedly punching Baserman, and kicking him in the head, after the officer took a towel from Kendrick, because if was blocking the view of his bunk. The trial is expected to last three weeks.
