The City of Cumberland will begin work Monday on patching Fayette Street, from Allegany Street to Luteman Road. The work is a follow-up to repairing the road from this summer’s water line project. The road will be flagged during the construction to guide vehicles around the construction equipment. Due to the weather forecast and expected daytime air temperatures, the road won’t be milled and overlayed until spring. Cumberland’s Engineering Department will notify the public, if the construction project needs to be extended. Work will begin at 6:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
