TWO AREA FIRES INVESTIGATED

The cause of a fire Sunday evening at a Bowling Green home has been determined, while another near Flintstone Monday morning remains under investigation. In the Bowling Green fire, a malfunctioning electrical outlet caused $20,000 in damage to a home on Bowling Street. The home is owned by Robert William Herrell III. And, a barn fire on Black Valley Road in Flintstone, which also caused about $20,000 in damage, is being investigated. The structure dates back to 1860, and is owned by Michael Davis. All livestock reportedly escaped unharmed.
