FOUR INJURED IN ROUTE 51 CRASH

Four people were hurt yesterday afternoon when a truck and ambulance collided causing the ambulance collided on Route 51 at its intersection with Mexico Farms Road. The ambulance, from Monongalia County, West Virginia, was transporting a patient. The four who were injured were taken to UPMC-Western Maryland for treatment. The roadway was closed for about an hour while first-responders from both Allegany and Mineral Counties cleaned up debris and took care of the patients. The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
