STATE INCREASES PRENATAL AND INFANT CARE SERVICES

New funding will help expand prenatal and infant care services for at-risk and low-income families.  According to the Maryland Department of Health, six-million-dollars will be spread out over the span of three-years.  The news comes as National Prematurity Awareness Month comes to a close today.  Services will be expanded in Wicomico, St. Mary’s and Prince George’s counties.  Officials say that maternal and child health is a top priority across the Old Line State.
