New funding will help expand prenatal and infant care services for at-risk and low-income families. According to the Maryland Department of Health, six-million-dollars will be spread out over the span of three-years. The news comes as National Prematurity Awareness Month comes to a close today. Services will be expanded in Wicomico, St. Mary’s and Prince George’s counties. Officials say that maternal and child health is a top priority across the Old Line State.
