WV PSC APPROVES LOWER INTERIM RATES THAN SOUGHT FOR MOUNTAINEER, HOPE GAS

West Virginia’s Public Service Commission has granted Mountaineer Gas and Hope Gas lower interim rates than the companies had requested.  The PSC says customers of Mountaineer Gas will see a 15 percent rate increase in their bills, instead of the 38 percent increase the utility wanted.  Customers of Hope Gas will see their gas bills rise by 28 percent instead of the 62 percent hike the company sought.  The PSC says the rates are interim and it will keep reviewing the market before setting final rates.
