MD. HEALTH ANNOUNCES PROGRAMS TO REDUCE MILITARY AND VETERAN SUICIDES

Maryland Health has a new program to provide mental health care services for military and veterans.  It’s called the Trained Military Assistance Provider Program.  The goal is to reduce the number of suicides among service members and veterans.  Officials say the training program can be completed 100-percent online.  Data shows that Maryland is home to 30-thousand active duty service members, 18-thousand reservists and nearly 350-thousand veterans.
