FLU HOSPITALIZATIONS REACH 10-YEAR HIGH IN PENNSYLVANIA

The Pennsylvania Department of Public Health says infections from the flu have surpassed the peaks of five previous seasons. The virus usually hits its highest level in late January or February, but officials say hospitalizations across the state are the worst they’ve seen in at least ten years.  Nearly 50-thousand confirmed cases have been reported in the Commonwealth, with the Midstate making up about 12-percent of reported infections.
