Phase One of the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation’s Downtown Comprehensive Investment grant program closed on November 11th; Phase Two will open on January 9th and will close on February 10th of next year. Requests for façade improvements and technical assistance totaled just over $556,000, with $400,000 in available funds. The grant committee was able to allocate all available funds with only minor decreases in actual grant requests. Phase Two will include the Downtown Infrastructure Upgrade Grant and the Downtown Residential Development Grant.
